Sign up here for your free listing in our African
volunteering and sponsorship program directory here at the African Volunteer
Network. We welcome applications from projects across
Africa that work with volunteers in a range of settings
from schools, community projects, hospitals, animals,
conservation work and orphanages etc. or who offer regulated child sponsorship programs. We only ask for a few things in return. Firstly if the
volunteer work is with children or you are listing a child sponsorship program,
your project is committed to upholding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Secondly you operate in a non-discriminatory way. Staff
here at the Network are volunteers in Africa themselves
so we are under no illusions about working "on the
ground" however we do expect our partner projects to act
decently towards all people regardless of sexual
orientation, gender or disability. In return we expect volunteers making contact with you through this
directory to act in line with local custom and tradition
when undertaking their volunteer experience or, if seeking to become a child sponsor, to realise that may be a longer term committment to a child.
Lastly before you sign up and take advantage of your
free listing, this Network is for smaller African
volunteer projects. So if you are one of the Big Guys
stick to your advertising budget! If, on the other hand,
you are a small project working on the ground, out in
communities and need a helping hand, our directory is
for you! If you provide us with
sufficient information including photographs we'll even
prepare your own featured listing page here at the
African Volunteer Network to maximise your exposure.
Again, no charge. Tell us about your volunteering or sponsorship project for your free listing here!
